Crafting Creation – National Parks is the second in a series of ebooks designed to help inspire your creativity as well as challenge your skill level.
Nothing stifles creativity like doing the thing over and over again. While this pattern book isn’t for the complete novice, Crafting Creation – National Parks offers patterns for those who would consider themselves an “experienced beginner” and up.
Each pattern will have a hint, or suggestion on how the author would approach tooling the pattern.

I’m Daniel W. Reach, an award-winning leather craftsman, instructor, author, and creator. My work blends old-world craftsmanship with imagination, storytelling, and technical precision — whether I’m building functional leather goods, sculptural pieces, custom patterns, or teaching others how to bring their own ideas to life.
I’m best known for ambitious, story-driven leatherwork, including a handmade leather pirate ship that won an international competition. Alongside leather craft, I also write original music and dark fantasy, all rooted in the same goal: creating work that feels like it has weight, history, and a soul.
Through Daniel Reach Creations, I share the full process behind the work — the planning, the mistakes, the craftsmanship, and the finished pieces. Whether you’re here to learn leather craft, follow the creative journey, or simply see what can be made by hand, I’m glad you’re here.
