Creating Complex Patterns from Scratch.
In this hands-on workshop, students will learn how to create custom leather patterns from scratch using shoulder saddle bags as the real-world example. The class covers using AI to visualize the project, then drafting the physical pattern on poster board.
By the end, students will understand the process behind turning an idea into a workable leather pattern.
Pet Portraits in Leather!
Learn how to turn a photo of your pet into a tooled leather portrait. Using my pug carving as the class example, students will learn how to simplify a reference photo, transfer the design to leather, carve the main lines, bevel the important forms, add texture, and use shading and color to bring the portrait to life.
This class is designed for leather crafters who want to move beyond basic patterns and start creating more personal, custom artwork. By the end, students will understand the process behind building a recognizable pet portrait in leather and have the skills to begin creating one of their own.
Pet portraits also have strong potential for commission work, making this a practical skill for makers who want to offer meaningful, one-of-a-kind pieces to clients.

Tooling Dragons!
Tooling Dragons is a hands-on leather carving class where students learn to create a bold dragon design with depth, texture, shading, and dramatic visual impact. Students will practice carving, beveling, adding scale and wing detail, building contrast, and using color to bring the piece to life.
This class is ideal for leather crafters ready to move beyond basic tooling patterns and start creating fantasy-inspired artwork with more movement, mood, and character.

Master’s class
6-Week Tooling Masters is a leather craft workshop designed for makers who want focused instruction, guided practice, and honest feedback as they build a project from start to finish. Over six weeks, students will work through the tooling process step by step, learning how to plan the design, carve clean lines, bevel for depth, build texture, add shading, and finish a piece they are proud to show off.
This workshop is intentionally limited in seating so each student gets more personal guidance and critique. It is built for leather crafters who are ready to take their work more seriously, sharpen their skills, and grow through a structured, hands-on learning experience.
Students will be required to fill out an application prior to being accepted into the Master’s class.
This is for intermediate students and up.
